One
of the joys of eating is the element of variety. Food is so diverse
with ethnic, regional and international accents that at times you
just can't decide on what to eat. There is a place that will satisfy
your palate every time; Manna's Soul Food.
Soul
food meets the far east in this bounty of good "comfort food".
With an array of dishes (over 130), the smorgasbord will shame the
elite buffets of Las Vegas. There is so much to choose from. Chicken
dishes alone constitute over 10 items (fried, baked, barbecued,
sesame, curried, sweet and sour, stir fried, jerk, grilled, and
salad). Though there are plenty of items, each dish is made with
love and "soul". There is obviously "soul" food,
Asian, Caribbean, Spanish and American continental food. The astounding
thing about this place is that everything tastes fresh and is so
well prepared.
If
it isn't here, then its not worth having. Priced by the pound, it
gives you the lateral ability to pick. The key is to get small portions
of each so that you can taste everything. Some items such as seafood
are made fresh to order. Inquire about daily specials and seasonal
food items.
Ask
for Betty, the always pleasant and beautiful owner. She gets a big
shout out for hiring from the community that she has prospered in.
In this place you win never go hungry or unsatisfied. Leave room
for dessert and breakfast is a must. Sunday's buffet is unmatched.
Get over there and with the money you save, take a cab!
